With the dream of making the world’s best, most beautiful and precious wooden blind, Jørn Krab initiated collaboration with leading designers – and introduced, during the 1990s, a number of new types of Venetian blinds and light, mobile room-dividers which became highly successful and were rewarded with numerous prestigious international design awards.

In 1998 Jørn Krab’s enthusiasm, inventiveness and enthusiasm for the new, led to the development of Art Andersen’s first dynamic solar shading system for large glass facades – on the House of Architects in Copenhagen.

Ever since – the close and fruitful cooperation with leading Danish and international architects has been the key to Art Andersen’s success – and to the development of a long line of innovative concepts and products in dynamic screening of buildings and spaces.
